What is in the Name?

Once again the demand of a separate state has created ruckus, once again critics and supporters spar over the issue. Once again we are going to be divided!

We witnessed a massive hullabaloo over the issue related to "Unity and Diversity". And another state in on the cards. A number of debates, discussions have been devoted to this issue. Ironically, the question still prevails. Are we really united? If you ask me my point of view, I will certainly come up with a big ‘NO’. During the freedom struggle there were only Indians. Now India is divided into too many states. There are Biharis, there are Marathis, Kashmiri, Bengali, Keralites and the list goes on. Now in India every body is known by their states. There is no Indian.

Today Andhra Pradesh people are demanding a separate state "Telangana", and as central government gave in for their demand the various regions of "United India" are reverberating with the uproar demanding separate states- Gorkhaland from West Bengal, Bundelkhand and Western UP from Uttar Pradesh.

This development reminds me of the division of India into two pieces, later on into three. Who is happy by this division game? Both countries suffered and are suffering till now. Back then, there was demand of two countries now there is demand of two states. At that time, India got divided on the name of religion now we are dividing India on the name of Region.

In past there has been division of Bihar and Jharkhand got formed likewise Uttaranchal and Uttarakhand were formed which I witnessed. Is there any tangible benefits of this division? Only the name changed. I don't know if there are any invisible benefits.

There is desperate need for a change in mentality of the people. Division is not the solution. In past there was demand of Country division now there is demand of state division. In future may be there will be demand of city division.

The writing on the wall is clear; ‘United India’ is soon going to be ‘divided India’ either we need to wake up for the cause or face the music. By changing only the names of the state nothing will be changed. What is in the Name after all?

Wahi Hua Jiska Darr Tha

Few weeks ago a friend of mine asked me about Sadhvi Pragya case, "What will happen as many high profile political leaders' name has come in this case?" I said nothing will happen during the investigation. Again there will be a bomb blast somewhere in India and everyone will start talking about that incident.
This is a very common practice in India. But I, myself did not think that the future incident will be so disastrous. Now everyone is talking about Mumbai Bomb Blast and have forgotten bout Sadhvi Pragya case. No one now has the courage to reopen this case. If anyone will show courage and raise this issue he/she will be tagged as "Deshdrohi". Because he is not talking about the involvement of Pakistan in this "Attack on India". Every person, every News Channel, every News agency will start criticizing him/her and "Attack on Him/Her".
Now my friend, the one who asked me about Pragya case, again asked me what will happen next. I can’t stop myself from smiling. What will happen next? It is a very big question. Rice will visit India as Indo-Pak tension increases. Pakistan will offered help in investigation. India will build pressure on Pakistan. Every political leader and country will think their profit. The shower of allegations has already started .No one is thinking from the point of view of the general public. Who were killed in this Mumbai Massacre-general public. Who were killed in Malegao blast-general public, who were killed in Delhi, Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad.....Blast-general public.
If any politician's son is caught in hit and run case they use all their "capabilities" in rescuing him I pray to God somehow (I am sorry to say) make a bomb blast and kill a politician's son then I will see what they will do. They don’t understand the pain of dead. They will understand the real pain when their loved one will get killed. they start politicizing every thing Mumbai bomb blast, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmadabad Bomb Blast, Godhra Case, Arushi Case, Babri Masjid Case, Sabarmati Case...the list is endless. Had they given results of any of the cases? a big NO. They can’t even give results.
A few months later everyone will start talking about the general election and will forget about the "Attack on India". Who will be the next Prime Minister of united India will be the hot topic. Attack and counter attack will be started by ruling and opposition. Please please leave us alone. We are the general people we don’t want another killings. Please God make our India a peaceful place to live. Please let us live in peace. We can’t understand your agendas and your political theories. We don’t want anything, we don’t want 5 lack compensation, we don’t want sensex rising, we don’t want 123 pact, we don’t want Kashmir- we want only peace. If you want to give us something please give us Peace.
